Perfect for Students of Music Theory

This app has been hands down the most helpful application i have ever downloaded by far. I have been able to practice and understand elements of music theory that i could never have imagined before thanks to the lessons and exercises embedded in this app. Absolutely perfect for memorizing key signatures, notes on the neck of the guitar, and piano and more. One thing i would definitely appreciate is more instrument coverage I have a ukulele and there isnt a practice function for that... I suppose i could just modify the guitar excercise

LOVE THIS APP

I wish they would add a scale-learning feature—(visual, not just ear recognition)

Best I Have Seen Yet

Combines a lot of training tools, and highly customizable. Easy interface as well.

Huh?

There are no instructions here! ZERO.As a beginner, Im randomly touching things and getting wrong answers. Cant figure out how it works or what the goal of any exercise is. Disappointing, waste of time and of my $3.99. I want a refund!

Great app

I love this app - beginners beware it doesnt teach you modes and intervals if you dont already know them go to thumbtack and hire a music teacher - if you are looking for a tool to sharpen your note and key recognition on staff, piano, or guitar, or ear training exercises including pitch, intervals and modes then this is a very good app.

Best Music Theory App out there!

This got me through college theory classes when I was having trouble identifying stuff on staff; I even use it today! Some added features regarding scales and extended chords would be very nice too, but the core features are what I use almost daily.

Perfect

This is exactly what I was looking if for in a music trainer. To be honest, I was expecting much less, but I am so glad I was wrong! It offers a huge range of practice options and also allows you to customize and save specific training exercises. The calculators are also useful, especially the analysis calculator! Many thanks to the devs for this great app.

Best app!

Im a music student, and a teacher told us about this app it has been invaluable in helping me with my theory classes and is an excellent tool for any musician to have. Would recommend this to all my friends!

Best Music App

All the essentials

Perfect for ear training

I am using this app to learn how to recognize chords by ear. There are lots of exercises to help with this process, such as the chord ear trainer and the chord analyzer.

Best App for Musicians!!

Train your ear, sharpen your sight reading, master your scales, and much more!

Great for learning

Ive been diving into music theory lately, and this app has more than enough features to really practice and reinforce everything Im learning. 100% recommended.

Good for training purposes

I love this app because I can take it on the go. I think this is really good for all musicians that want to train. I personally use this on my iPad, iPhone to memorize key signatures, intervals, and more. I think this app is worth the money if you intend to use it often because it will help a lot.

Excellent

Great app. Thank you.

Buggy, But Great Otherwise

If there werent some very disruptive and consistent glitches, Id give this app 5 stars. Great for ear training and drilling basic theory - helped me study for a college theory placement exam. One of the worst bugs is that in the visual drills (chord ID, note ID, key signature ID etc), the previous set of accidentals and/or notes will remain on the staff long after the question has been answered correctly, making all future questions anywhere from infuriatingly confusing to downright illegible. Also, the chord ear-training exercise thinks a basic major 6th chord is a minor 7th for some reason (and major 6th is not a chooseable option in the exercise) . Fix those problems, and its a five-star app.

Music Theory and Aural Skill Booster

This app is great for both high school and college musicians. The challenge modes really help boost skills in both Music Theory and Aural Skill abilities. I plan on using this app in my future classroom(s).

Best Music Theory Training App

I have a lot of music theory apps, this is the best one overall. Please add keyboard and fretboard scale identification, this would be better than just key signature identification

Great For Training but could be better

Im an audio engineer brushing up on training my musical ear and knowledge. This is really nitpicky but I listen to the ear training exercises with Sennheiser HD 380s and the samples are low quality and could be fixed my putting a simple high pass filter on them (some basic EQ). I think that it would be very beneficial to have an exercise where you have to click or select all of the notes within a single key such as asking Q: D Dorian A: D, E, F, G, A, B, C, D A cool format is have the prompted scale above in your "question section" with a corresponding scale below without any accidentals (no key signature I would assume for this exercise) and below list the musical alphabet (linear with the root starting on the left) with #s above each letter and bs below each letter (once an accidental is clicked the corresponding staff above places the accidental in the scale so to have a visual representation) the student would have to correct the scale by adding missing accidentals.

Love it

I got this app to help with my music theory class and its pretty nice. I recommend it to anyone wanting to brush up on the basics.

Very good

I am studying music at college and this app is great for practicing intervals for aural skills. Very helpful
